It has almost been a month now since I've started wearing the hijab. It is, a huge change for me. I'm sure it is the same for everyone. Yes, especially coming from this girl who used to wear knee length skirts to work and sometimes shorts during the weekend!
But I am not complaining! Somehow, making the 'leap' was something special to me. I guess now I'm still in the midst of figuring out the best way to wear it. Comfortable, yes. So far I admit I've had a few headache spells from too tight a headscarf. After about the 5th migraine, I wasn't about to give up.
When there's a will, there's a way they say.
I admit though, I am still far from perfect. You know, the whole tight pants and elbow length shirts thing.. Slowly yah? For now, I'm getting used to heat so as to avoid migraine spells. I've experimented with a few styles, and somehow I guess my first go-to style would be the yuna/breen/loose style, still sans the inner neck unfortunately. It's probably the easiest... Even if I have to wear 5 pins! Yes, I know people don't wear as much.. But as long as I am comfortable, 5 doesn't really matter. I'm a tad bit claustrophobia, so tight wrap-arounds tend to give me headaches or leave me breathless, literally..
Today I tried the turban. Verdict? LOVE! So versatile, I'm thinking of wearing it with a suit to work.. Haha cita2 masih ok. Since I'm not particularly working in a fashion industry.. It might come as a shock to some.. We'll see.. This particular piece from AzuraAzwa is a must-have. Custom made-to-measure, it fits my big head perfectly.
Yes, they said I've got the biggest size they've done yet...
