Mini weekend getaway

So over the weekend we spent the night at oneworld hotel, damansara.  Husband is a member so once a year we'll get a free stay!

Yeah, I know I know.. It's unusual for people to have mini getaways in the city right? Imagine beaches, serenity, outdoors..

Haha, not us.

We're self-proclaimed city people. We love the ease of just having a store downstairs for quick dinners so that we can spend most of the time..

IN THE HOTEL ROOM OF COURSE!

Whyyyy would you pay a hefty price for the room if you're just going to spend most times outdoors and not actually ENJOY the room innit? Ok fine, that's debatable. But we loveee lazing around, enjoying the lush mattresses and pillows, bathtubbb.. swimming pool!

( The 10 seconds that she was calm in the water before screaminggggggg! )
Aaron loves staying in hotels for these reasons especially! He doesn't mind not going out, if he can guling2 atas katil tuh.. Like mother like son!

I was happy when he suggested that I go for the massage (also included in the coupon, but only entitled for a capped rate of RM110 for ANY MASSAGE)! Wehhoooo.. Offered to watch the kids (read=subject to the baby sleeping) whilst I have my one hour 'me' time. Decided to pick 8pm, just before they close. The lil' one often (alhamdulillah) sleeps at 7'ish every night (IF NO DISTRACTIONS).. So after a full day, we figured she'd stick to her routine. Which she did, yeay! Was initially worried that husband would have to call up the spa to stop my massage because baby woke up!

I chose the deep tissue massage. I was still very sore from the mini marathon in the morning, so I figured I needed a really goodddd one to ease my muscles.

Didn't work. Too sore.

But otherwise, I think the massage would have been a great one were it not for my superrrrr sore muscles. I think the girl climbed behind me, using her knees at one point. They served tea before my session and also provided a fresh cuppa immediately afterwards. The whole ambience of the place was also so serene, perfect for relaxation. They even had these funky looking chairs (sofa?) for me to hang around.

Worst part though....

the lady asked how many months pregnant am I after the massage....I swear I'm not lying!

(-__-) I cried inside.

Mid-week

How time flies. Is it Wednesday already?

The weekend could not come any sooner! We're planning on a full-blown relaxation time for this small family of four. Oh wow, that's a mouthful.

FAMILY OF FOUR! Woot! And to think that yesterday my aunt advised me to add more 'minions' to the bunch at this so-called early age. Reason being so we would be 'tired' this one time managing all small lil' ones, and relax a little when they're older.

A valid point she made... but am not sure whether 'we're' ready yet. Still waiting to complete the house that we're moving into next... perhaps then we'd consider adding straight away?

If God wills it, of course.

At times like this, you can't help but be humbled by all that's happening around us. Everything indeed comes from Him, and from time to time you just need to be reminded that everything belongs to Him. You are just here 'hitch-hiking' your way to the afterlife, hopefully to the better side insyaAllah.

On a much lighter note, I'm making orange and black buttoned beauties this week... A tad bit late for halloween themed goodies, but it's fun to try and experiment new deco adventures don't you think?

Reaching high

In anticipation of having to go through pantang, mandi lulur and what not.. I've decided disuruh emak to buy a stool for me to sit in the bathroom, you know, to make it easier and less straining. It served me well indeed.

Now that I'm only left with the 'penutup' pantang, I thought that I would not have much use for it afterwards..

Until one day Aaron showed great interest in the stool and decided that it would come in handy for him. I never thought of it. Haha so credits to him for that creative thought!

Now I can just tell him to go brush his teeth and he'll go into the toilet and do his thing by himself. Ah, my boy is all grown up now! Before, one of us would actually have to go in with him to hand him his toothbrush and help him him rinse because he could not reach the sink.

(Ignore mess under the sink. Air tadahan you know, for watercut days just in case)

Caught in the act

Last night my son came home from my inlaws, as usual after the husband finished terawikh prayers. This time, he lugged his school bag all the way up to our room by himself (doesn't usually happen because the bag is almost half his size). I asked him why he brought his bag upstairs he wouldn't answer, but just simply went on to unpack the goodies he got stuffed inside. The stuff he pulled out first are the usual items his 'kakak' would pack for him upon coming home...

Washed school uniform..

Clean towel..

Clean change of clothes..

And then... These came out!

They aren't his! Both belonging to his cousins. The small toy phone was just returned 2 days ago and we clearly told him it wasn't his! Ayayai... Upon further investigation, yeah apparently he smuggled those out of my inlaws' house without anyone noticing!

Haiya..

Dentist

Ok..

I can't actually remember my first dentist trip.. or perhaps, any one of them other than the compulsory ones they have in primary school. My tooth extraction have always been done rather...

MANUALLY i.e either dad pulling it out with his BARE HANDS or... it fell in my mee goreng.

Yeah, can't really imagine me pulling out Aaron's teeth either. So we decided, let's get him a proper visit to the ones who are actually professionally trained, eyh? We've been telling him the idea about a dentist visit for some time now (mostly to encourage him to brush his teeth or stop finishing all the sugus in one go, yeah he can do that!). Before when he was slightly younger, mentions of dentist would get him shaking his head profusely and a wee bit of crying. It got easier when he's much bigger now. We just do what we normally do..

We try to negotiate and reason.

Haha, sounds simple right? WRONG. At home he was all 'yeah ok, let's go to the dentist like the play doh/cartoon/friend he saw some where some where'.. And THEN, he had to fall asleep on the way there.... waking up in the dentist waiting room is probably not the best place eyh? It took us a few minutes to get him to open his mouth. The dentist did a great job with encouraging words bla2 (I think all his attention went to the large spiderman sticker the dentist offered him). Luckily she allowed the boy to sit on his father's lap so it was more comforting for him.

We only managed to fill in one of the holes in his teeth (yikes! He already has two... booohooo).. We've scheduled another visit next week, to which he seemed agreeable. This time, both mummy and papa will be having their teeth checked as well, a family outing in itself :P So yeay! He was even proud of his achievement that he decided to tell everybody!

Including the random pakcik guard at the shopping mall later on..

Back home

Finally.. After four long nights at the hospital, we're finally back home. Altogether, we were in the hospital for 4+1 (+1 being my food poisoning) nights in the past 2 weeks..

That's a new record for me.

Upon reaching home, the husband remarked whether we should contemplate leaving some of the stuff in the car because...

I'm already 34 weeks preggos!!! Which means, it won't be long now.. Yowza, I hope we can be at home for a bit longer before having to go back to the hospital again. This momma needs to catch up on her sleep for a bit before adik comes out yah!

#mysickbaby

What's a worst feeling than having constant backpain, heartburn, sleepless nights and just being plain hormonal all the time?

Is seeing your son being admitted.

Yes, it's day 3 now of him being admitted and us making this our home for now. Viral infection, high temp the works.. :,( I no longer have any qualms about hospital food, too pasrah to care I just wallop anything. Lucky they provide food for both mummy and boy. Lucky too, husband sleeps here with us. And because the boy only wants to sleep being craddled, he sleeps on his dad. My back pain and bulging pregnant belly means I can't do that for him.

Finally last night we were transferred to a single room (which means I finally get to sleep on a bed!). This hospital I tell you, too popular. Extremely too popular. It's so hard getting a room here. We hoped to be discharged today, seeing as he didn't have any fever at all yesterday.... But come 5am this morning, his temp spiked again..

We'll see what the doctor says when he checks up on him later this morning.

2 visits to the hospital this week? I must be setting a record for myself :( and not the good kind..

Membebel

Oh no... Have I started to? He made me think that I have!!! Or have I?

'He' being my 4 year old son...

Me: (for the 10th time, just because he was distracted playing with his toys more than anything) Aaron, eat your nuggets please!

Aaron: yela2.. Tak payah la tanya lagi..

Me: (-___-)

Ugh!

Mother's day

Yesterday was mother's day here in Malaysia, anddddd possibly some other countries as well. I remember being slightly very confused in the UK as they had different dates for some celebrations like mother's day.

Eh?

But anyway, we (siblings) decided to take mom out for dinner. To be honest, we have not done so in YEARS (or possibly, ever?). Yes, it is sad. Why? Most times during important celebrations or whatever times, we all would not be in the same city. It's either my mom would be travelling, sabah, my brother(s) in sabah or miri or australia or wherever lah! So yeah, we've gotten used to.... Not celebrating anything together (including birthdays)...

Well, we're getting better. But it does take time.

So yeah, brought her to Shook starhill. Considering that I spent the entire weekend in bed, it was quite hard for me to get out of bed and get ready. Heck, I even decided to just wear a dress that I've been repeatedly wearing as of late. It's huge and it's comfy!

All in all, it was an excellent dinner, time well spent. I was smiling the whole time! Can't remember the last time we had a family dinner like this... :(

More to come, insyaAllah!

New sibling

Normally they say your kid will get extra clingy about the time before you're about to give birth to his/her younger sibling..

Apparently not in all cases..

So excuse me while I cry inside as my child doesn't want me

:,(

The last thing you want after a hard days work is to come home to your child who doesn't even want you...now when he sleeps, I hug him tighter than usual.

Nesting

Yeah, as expected.. Ballooned and swelling all over. I'm such a sight. With nausea and tiredness still not subsided, it's no wonder that I've taken a serious step back from any writing.

Energy directed elsewhere, as they say.

Fortunately, I was lucky to be able to go on 2 trips before I pop. One was for work, the other purely leisure. Ah well, the husband bought the tickets wayyyyyyy before I got pregnant. Sayang la if we didn't go right?

Gladly, as it was one tiring but satisfying trip a mom-to-be needs ;)

Upon our return, somehow I begin to feel slightly panicky....

I have not prepared ANYTHING for the baby!?! Zilch! You know some things you take for granted, like 'ah, i have everything from my first born, why bother?'

WRONG!

My last pregnancy was almost 5 years ago. Apparently most of our previous items were either in storage (somewhere), lost or just broken. And when you have thoughts of what you need all over the place, it's just natural that you get more panicky than you already are when you started.

So it started with a list.... And it built up from there. As more and more boxes are ticked, either from having things found/bought.. My mind rests. To-date, I have about 4 items left on my list. At 30 weeks, I'm pretty sure I'm not over-preparing.. Haha or so I think.

So now it's official.. I'm nesting nesting nesting! Clothes to be washed, clothes to be re-arranged, bags to be packed. I guess it would be a much faster process if I didn't have to go to work. But em' bought items and credit cards need to be paid right?

Too much to share

I think it has come to a point that I feel the need to TELL people what brilliant thing my son said/did yesterday, last night, last week.. Up to a point that I have to actively tell myself, 'Stop it!'..

But what happened last night just melted my heart.. it got both husband and I to just sit there silently admiring the amazing things that this little almost 5 year old tries to teach us.

Yesterday it was the salah. One of the reasons why I like sending him to his current kindie is because of the islamic 'element' embedded in the educational programme. Well, it is an islamic school after all! It's not that I'm LAZY to do it myself, but we figured that some things will 'stick' to him better when he sees his friends do it. Alhamdulillah even before joining this current kindie, he would SOMETIMES follow the husband praying.. mumbling whatever he thought should be mumbled. But it's not often. And most of the time, halfway through he'll just stop and run away.

Now he has been increasingly 'semangat' to join in salah times. Yesterday, was probably the ultimate proud moment for both of us. After Isya', he actually tried to teach us each and every step of the salah.. albeit imperfect but it was enough to make us proud! Being the cheeky boy, he just had to insert stories of how when he prayed with his friends, and one of them would ruku' earlier than the rest and went all 'eh alamak' .. and then everyone else would giggle along.. I have an image in my head of 3-6 year olds in a row performing the salah, in their own and special unique way.

God bless

xx

p/s: Yesterday he made me promise to pick him up from school. We practically negotiated for a good 5 minutes before he agreed to get out of the car to enter the school. Now I'm not sure having parents as lawyers would be a good idea!

#o0td

Just bought a new skirt from fash|onvalet. The nichii maxi skirt in black. Well, don't think it came in any other colors though. *correction, they DO have the skirt in other colors!* To be honest, I've never been a fan of sporting the 'tucked in' shirt look. Too restrictive. But this skirt is superb! Soft, flowy and fits perfectly! I think I may have discovered the key to pulling off the 'tucked in' dilemma..well for me at least!
Pair it with a soft chiffon/chiffon equivalent softness material! It makes movement easier, thereby eliminating the restrictive feeling. Wanted to do an ootd shot, but my photographer wasn't all that interested. He was on his way for his workout. Pffft!
The end result..
Oh, and someone decided to join in!

Cutters

As usual, it's not easy getting my son to eat. At least now he knows that he needs to eat when he's hungry. Although that does not always happen during proper mealtimes.

Saw Dina's post on cutting up pears to feed her son. Interesting. With Daiso's RM5 cookie cutters? You just HAVE to try kan!

French toast. Admittedly, a piece of bread is only enough to fit 2 shapes, leaving lots of 'scraps'.... Which went into mummy's mouth! I made lots of shapes, heart, flower, star, man... Man? Yeah, 'orang' as we call it..he loved it and ate breakfast happily!

...........

But, he only wants to eat the 'orang'......pffft.

Word game

We're teaching him to write.. Wherever/whenever we can.. Alphabets and numbers to begin with.. Not words, yet..

So... I'm not one to bring a pen and notepad wth me EVERYWHERE.. Since I have my ipad with me, practically 24/7 (at nights as my alarm clock).. We started to do our exercises wherever. Here's one with him practicing whilst we were waiting for papa to finish work during M'sia day

It's called Little Writer, available on the app store. Not bad. They even a section to practice whole words for later. Why Aaron loves it? It's because he has different characters to 'chase' the fruits, which would result in an alphabet or number, with SOUNDS!

Pushh!!! Pushhh!!! (2)

So, where was I?...

Ohh yes, the labor room.. Umm, but beware that this post might contain some disgusting details.. hehe so feel free to skip through those icky stuff!!

****************

Well, basically when I checked in, they started me on this drip that would supposedly enhance my contractions (as if it wasn't bad enough already!) But it is claimed to help speed up the whole process.. So I succumbed :)

But the pain got so intense.. it's like... having period pains non-stop! You know, that kind that you can feel on your legs? Yeah, magnify them by a few times.. :P However, of all the times.. I suddenly caught a fever.. Sigh, time pregnant tak pernah pon nak demam? Time labor laaaaaa fever!! And it was a bad one too. Since I am allergic to penicillin, the doc decided to not risk giving me any antibiotics, and just give me panadol? Haiyooo..

Oh and before that, they actually have to help me cleannnnnnnn my 'insides'. You know, so that poop won't come out with the baby? haha now THAT was funny.. Before I continue, may I remind you that I most of time LAUGH when presented with pain? Yeah, my weird way of coping I guess..

But having them pushing some liquid stuff into my anus was indeed uncomfortable and a bit painful.. so I laughed the whole time! The nurse must have thought that Yas and I were into naughty stuff as she gave us a weirddd look the whole time I was laughing.. Sheeshhh embarrassing!!

The stuff worked!!! Within seconds after the nurse left the room, I was already racing for the loo! At first I thought it was a false alarm as the nurse did ask me to keep the liquid inside (a.k.a don't forcefully teran it out laaa) for a while for it to work. But alas, I was THAT quick! Cool stuff to take actually, if you haven't been having bowel movements for a while :P

Ok, back to the fever part.. since I was having a temperature.. The doc decided to change the drip to water I think? to help reduce my temperature.. Yess, I am jakun with all this drip stuff because believe it, I have never been admitted to the hospital.. so having them inject me with the tube initially, was WEIRDDDDD!! agak jakun and memalukan laaa coz I keep asking stupid questions about the drip and stuff.. haha the nurse must have thought that I forgot that I was in the hospital to give birth!

Pooping matters aside, then came the stupid need to pee!!! Oh dearrrrrrrr!! Once they start you on whatever drip there is.. you can't actually go to the toilet? Well, maybe you can.. but I was definitely NOT ALLOWED to! So the nurse suddenly went to take the kit to 'help' me pee... Aiyooooo!! When I saw the needle.... I shoutedddd,

"Ehhh Ehhh kak! Nak cucuk mane tu??"

Nurse: Kat sane la dik! Nak help you pee.

"Ummm... will it hurt?" (buat muke kesian... haha as-if that would make a difference!)

Nurse: A bit laa, pedih sikit je.

"Painkiller takde?"

Nurse: (checking the gas level that was attached to the wall behind me) Ohhh, it's empty la dik! I have to call maintenance.. That would take a while.. We do it without gas la ok?

"Ummm.. ok.. tak rase nak kencing dah" (Padahal I was SOOOO ready to go there and then! Even contemplated on peeing on the bed rather than being 'poked' by the stupid needle)

Both Yas and the nurse laughed.. I was furious by myself.. Hello!! Nak cucuk THERE?? Confirm I sanggup tunggu the gas.. hahaha

***************

Peeing with gas was a success!! Hehe.. Gosh, that was probably the first time I got soooo highhh.. that I laughed most of the time early on! Bengong! Yas was a angel to just layannnn je all my stupid kerenah throughout :)

But all of that plus my fever caused me to be soooo sleepy.. So I slept most of the time from about 10pm to 2am-ish, which was when my water broke..

Oh did I mention that I also got like TWO stupid vaginal exams in between?? I swear, if I did have the energy and not be so high at the time, I would smack the nurse and doctor's head. But the second VE wasn't that bad coz I guess the numb effect of the gas really kicked in.. although I couldnt feel the pain, I still felt UNCOMFORTABLE! Yelaaaaaaa, tangan not just masuk inside 'there' ok.. siap feel2 to measure how far dilated am I.. OMG! Hate it! Hate it!

*** Ummm.. am I deterring anyone from giving birth already?? So SORRY!***

But it was definitely quick between when my water broke and when the baby came out. When the nurse suddenly took hold of my mouthpiece for the gas, I panicked..

"Ehhh Ehhh kak!!! Nak bawa gi mane tu?" Remember, I was high.. so that came out soo sloww and very weak!

They have to take away all painkillers in order for me to be able to 'feel' when to push.. I turned to Yas.. "Ayggg, kejap boleh?? penat.. ngantuk..ehh tak ready laa.. later boleh?"

Hahahahah.. I vaguely remember Yas laughing a bit at my stupid request at that crucial time, and then sweetly assure me that everything will be ok.. "It's time"..

I think I may have inhaled a bit too many gas, as I was sooooooo sleepy to push!! My mother said that it was the nurse's fault as they didn't monitor my gas intake.. How should I know?? All I wanted was to get rid of the pain.. so if no one says no, I'll inhale the gas like my life depended on it lah!

But the nurse was soooo sweet, she reminded me to recite Bismillah everytime I push.. Remembering God the whole time did help me through.. It helped me to not fight the pain and just let it be.. But being human.. of course I still grunt at the pain! Labor pain? is like no other.. At one point I turned to Yas..

"Eiiii asal laa saye tak amik epidural ar??" hahaha That time it was probably too late to take it la kan! Nvm, I told myself.. I still want to give birth again in the future.. boleh la try other painkillers then :P

************

The next thing I knew, the baby was out.. Being relatively high and soooo tired from all that pushing, (I had the most trouble getting the baby past my pelvic bone, that took quite a while).. I could barely hear the doctor when he was mentioning something about 'rantai..

I was like.. "what rantai?" And as they place Aaron in my arms (still bloody and all), I could see the 'rantai'.. A cord around his neck.. I almost panicked but was relieve when I saw that the nurse had her hand between the cord and Aaron's neck..

That moment... was bliss.. "Hello you..." was all I could mutter at the moment. It happened too quick, they took him away too soon! My gaze followed him as he was placed on the table beside me, to be cleaned..

"Why isn't he crying? Why isn't he crying?" I shouted as all I could hear from him was "Ehh Ehh Ehh'' but not full "huarghhhhhhhhhhh!!" like most babies I see in documentaries do!

I must have been so focused on Aaron that I almost didn't notice the doctor still down THERE, taking out the placenta and stitching me.. All I remember was thinking to myself, "The baby is out.. What the helllll is the doctor still doing down there? Sibuk je!" And then I remembered that I must have needed stitches.. haha but I guess my first reaction when I realised what he was doing saved me from feeling any pain as I reached straight for the gas.. !!

And before I could say more, they took Aaron away.. little did I know that his lungs were weak that he needed to be placed in the incubator straight away.. Punyela I was so mad as the nurses took him away... But as I saw Yas tailing the nurses when they left with Aaron, I was a bit relieved.. at least he'll be with him..

************
Then began my emotional journey through recovery.. Aaron was safely delivered at 3.37am.. weighing 2.92 kg, height of 51 cm..

Oh my little angel..

Some would have found it weird that I still had the time and energy to update my status on F@cebook as soon as I was wheeled to my room, but it was because I was trying to stay awake for when they bring the baby to me.. But I guess I was too tired that I slept soon after..

All in all, it was such an experience.. I'm sure many new mothers out there would agree with me. No matter how hard the experience was (for some at least), once you see the baby.. all the pain just automatically goes away.. Or perhaps God just made it so that we automatically, psychologically block all that pain, cause the end is just so beautiful..

Alhamdulillah after 5 trying days in the hospital, the doc finally allowed Aaron to go home, and obviously me with him. Even though he still had signs of jaundice when we got home, constant breastmilk and morning sun exposure was all we did.. and now our baby is healthy again :)

My breastfeeding experience? Ahah! For now, alhamdulillah it's been good. I've also started building up my stash for when I return to work. But I definitely think that I may have bought the wrong pump.. and that a double hands free pump might actually be more suitable for the impatient me..

Oh more shopping then!!

Pushh!!! Pushhh!!! (1)

The story of me going into labor is certainly quite interesting and surreal, for me at least! I never thought that my mulut can be so masin!!!

Remember my last post before I went into labor? The one about me finally being ready for the baby in terms of his stuff, like his closet? HAHA... little did I know, that I would like seriously go into labor soon after, like literally 2 days AFTER!

I did also alwayssssss mentioned in many of my previous posts that I was going to take sick leave for like a week to rest at home before labor etc22.. BLAH!! hahahah I only managed to get 1 day sick leave, that night I went straight into labor!

OKay, so let me start from the beginning...

***************************
(9 December 2009: At the office)

Good gosh!! Why on earth was I still at the office??? the day was slower than usual. Not a minute passed by without me contemplating on whether or not to take a sick leave the next day (since I would be attending my weekly checkup with the doctor anyway!)..

Normally throughout the whole pregnancy, I'd be walking like how I usually walk.. FAST! And this was even with a big belly hanging out!!

but today was different... I succumbed to the so-called penguin walk.. walking slowly.. legs apart.. dragging my butt behind me.. YEAH, it was a draggy day!! And of all days, my boss decided to take notice on how I walked today (which was to my advantage actually :P).. So she came out of her office as I pass by, looked me once over, and said.. "I think you better go home early today.. and start taking MC dear!"..

Of course I was shocked.. Did I have "me want MC" written all over my forehead? Or did she suddenly develop the capability to read my mind? Whatever the case, of course I jumped at the suggestion, as though it my boss' idea for me to take leave, not mine... PERFECT!!!

(10 December 2009: Ampang Puteri for my weekly checkup)

Today of all the checkup days, we decided to let Yas go to work early without having to accompany me.. so instead, I brought my MIL with me. Well, she'll be able to ask more efficient questions so that's a plus!

During the ultrasound.. as usual I can't really decipher what the hell was on the screen!! haha bengong.. So I was really shocked when suddenly my MIL asked the Doctor (the handsome locum)

"Doc, where is the baby's head?" .. at this point I was like.. is it not there? haha

And then the doc replied, CASUALLY.. "Oh, the baby's head is already engaged"..

WHATTTTTTTTTTTT????

And then came the most uninteresting, dreaded part of all.. VAGINAL EXAM.. wtf??? Eeekkk!! honestly.. this was the worst part of labor.. I TELL YOU!! he put his finger inside THERE, pusing2 do whatever nonsense inside.. and then told us that I was actually already 2 FINGERS dilated!! OMGGGGGGGGG hahah

But he didnt say that it was going to be THAT NIGHT.. all he said was that he gave me until the weekend. So if I didnt give birth until Saturday, they would 'break my water' manually.. ERRKKKK????? and his last advice was..

"Make sure you walk a lot ok?"

so I literally went to pavillion later that day.. walked around.. all the while having a 30 min interval contractions.. hehe of course I updated my status timely to my MIL and Yas.. And don't worry, I was with Baby and Kak Nina the WHOLE time IN CASE my baby decides to come out there and then.. we even entertained the thought that I might get a free shopping spree if I were to deliver in Pavillion.. or perhaps GUCCI if I just timely enter their store to deliver.. *wishful thinking* hehehe

On the way back.. I thought to myself.. "since I'll probably give birth either today or tomorrow.. I might as well get a Br@zillian wax done now".. I've been meaning to do it since last week but never came around to..

Hah!! amik kau.... nasib baik I did it straight away! hehehehe I went through it calmly with the thought that the salon is just 2 mins walk away from Ampang Puteri.. SO if ANYTHING were to happen, haaaa go walk to the hospital jer laa.. hehe I got scolded by the makcik who did me.. heheh coz I kinda came at the last minute.. She was really nervous all the time, yelaaa takut I terberanak on the table kan!! haha But I don't blame her though :P

*Oh.. and that was about 5pm.. my contractions were like 20ish mins apart*.. hehe

Got home.. everyone waiting for me anxiously.. yelaa, getting regular updates from me actually got EVERYONE nervous.. EXCEPT me! Whenever I had a contraction, I'd just look at the clock.. remind myself "the labor would be MUCH MUCH painful so just calmed myself down thinking that the contraction pain SHOULD be bearable"

When the contractions were about 15 mins apart.. I remember what Yan said about hospitals in the UK would only allow preggers to be admitted when they are TRULY in labor so I took the same stance.. as long as I am still able to walk, not feeling any pain.. I shouldn't panic and stay at home so that I won't tire myself with all the unnecessary waiting at the hospital..

So I took my time..

Took a shower, repacked my bag.. prayedddd.. (after maghrib, Yas' aunty suddenly reminded me that I couldnt actually pray since I've been having a 'bloody show' since that afternoon).. ceh!! haha nvm, niat tu penting :P :P

Did I tell you that the house was packed?? And everyone was in panicky mode except me and my MIL.. Haihh, just wished Yas was there to help calm everyone down! haha he came back a bit late coz I told him not to worry and that I don't think he'll miss the whole labor..

But then after much persuasion from almost everyone, I just succumbed and went to the hospital.. Yas came in later (but still with ample time to kill.. see? there was no reason to rush things!) haha

(At the Labor ward)

Thank GOD they only allowed husbands in the labor room.. I simply do not need all that panicky energy around me, especially when I was quite calm! Yas' calmness definitely helped!!

The funny thing was.. since I had to WAIT till I was fully dilated (when I came in.. I was about 3cm dilated).. They gave me this whatever drip to help fasten the process.. but that still took some time.. we had nothing good to watch on telly!! So guess what we watched? bloody Up@n and Ip1n!! Whatever lah the name of the showw... sheesh!!! Ktrg both mcm.. eeiii crite ape ni?? but since nothing else to watch.. tgk jerlah! hahah
