I'm starting to think of all those little details to welcome the baby.. Those things that I would NOT be able to START thinking about once the baby is out. First on the list..
Re-usable nappies?
As far as I know, none of my friends who've had babies uses this. But then, I've read about it a lot in books, as well as a few blogs that I've come across. I am now thus contemplating on whether to opt for re-usables or just stick to same ol' disposables.

A website I've found (from blog-hopping of course!) is Bumwear. Allegedly, all you need is some (plenty) of re-usables so that you can use some, whilst the others are in the wash. They're also easy to clean (or so I've heard!).. Apparently, they have these liners which would be useful to just 'collect' all those bulky poo (which would come once the baby starts eating solids) and flush away. Convenient? Hehe, all you need to do after a change is just rinse the 'affected' part with water, and then put in your laundry basket - awaiting to be washed in the washing machine obviously!
I guess now they make re-usables more user friendly, as oppose to those olden days where you have to stick pins and be a major expert in folding up tonnes of cloths into nappy shaped ready thingys (This takes me back to those times when I used to be an expert folder, when my mom had my little brother.. Oh the horror!)
The best thing, is that they come in such fantastic designs! Well, overall, it saves the environment.. What better way to start, since NOT using fuel for your car is not really an option as hybrid cars are wayyyyyyyyyy too expensive.. sheeshh!
For travelling, I would then still stick with disposables I guess... As it is probably more logical to be able to throw out those stained diapers rather than carrying it with you all day! (yuck, ohh the smell!)
Buying the items might not be a problem, as it is a Singaporean based company.. So international shipping to Malaysia shouldn't be too costly right?
BUT THEN AGAIN, one of these is considerably more costly than A disposable diaper.. But thinking about it re-usable.. the cost of using just 20 for example should definitely not be AS COSTLY as having to buy tonnes of disposables... However, the thought of spending THAT huge amount upfront is scary.. psychologically I mean.. Thus, when buying them I should probably think about the long run instead of that hole it would create in my wallet for that particular month.
Hummm.. so this is definitely one of my wishlist.. But the question remains, if I really want to buy them.. Should I do it now???? or wait another 2-3 weeks.. or later?? Or still contemplate on just sticking with disposables all the way??
Hummmmmmmmmmmm...
