Dance boy

Finally, after much thought.. We decided that it's time we enrol our son at a dance class. You see, most classes I've seen only accept kids as young as 5 years old. So obviously he doesn't qualify.

But I guess, age shouldn't be a hindrance when he can actually follow directions already. Which he could! So proud! He even enjoyed his trial class, he begged us to enrol him for future classes.

Ok, we may have 'tricked' him by saying that IF he's a good boy, eats his meal and goes to school, we'll take him to dance class.

Well, despite one or two misses, it kinda worked! On days he went to school, he'd proudly tell us that he's been a good boy and therefore he deserves his dance class.. Okla, in his own way, during our heart-to-heart sessions before he sleeps, where we tune out the world and just focus on talking with each other.

I love those talks.

So anyway, he seems to be enjoying his mini hip hop class. Parents obviously aren't allowed in except during the trial class. On his first day he kept gesturing for me to come in and stay inside. Which I did, but stepped out again as soon as he's fully engaged with the class. Second time round, he's more confident. He even insist on bringing his own water into class so he can put it in front like the others.. And drink by himself during break. I almost broke into tears seeing him so independent like that.

The price is quite reasonable and after class, the kids will line up to receive 2 stickers each to put in their book (provided by the school) for a job well done. They love it!

When he raced into my arms after class proudly showing the stickers he got, mummy got emo and almost cried. Ni baru class menarik doink!

Xx
