Wow!

It seems that I haven't been here for a WHILE now.. Work has been HECTIC (even that, is an understatement.

And I think my body went into some kind of shock last week. Ye laa, after 2 months of maternity leave.. plus the not so busy season during my late pregnancy (so zalim la to give loads of work to heavily pregnant woman kan!)...

As soon as I came back to work, Poooofff!!! Meetings back to back, long-winded meetings 6 hours in a row, endless agreements to be vetted.. Calls to entertain.. emails to reply..

The 2nd week of work was the worst! Dahla I was just adjusting to the schedules of pumping, having to control 'leakage'.. stressing, or more like worrying that my milk supply would decrease (since meetings would lead me to only pump 2-3 only instead of 4 times during working hours)..working through lunch.. It's just not enough that I miss my baby, everyday when the clock strikes 6, I'll just rush to the car to get home.. wondering whether he'll still recognize me.. (paranoid, I know!)

Which alhamdulillah, he still does... :) It's the reaction from him that I get EVERYTIME I return from work that is priceless.. He'll almost 'jump' at the sound of my voice.. smiling as if he wants to be able to come to me on his own.. and then suddenly he'll do his sad face.. soooo manja talking (his version of talking laa.. which is actually like "huaa waa waa" or something like that!) as if asking me where have I been..

When I pick him up.. He'll bury his face on my shoulder, still doing his sad face..

How heartbreaking...

Yeah, so all that hectic workload caused me to take 1 1/2 days mc last week.. FEVER! Suddenly la kannn.. Although I think the ridiculous heat around town did contribute to that as well..

The project that I'm working on is still not done yet.. Hopefully by next week I'll be able to tone it down.. relax and pump more regularly.. InsyaAllah, I have faith that my milk supply will be able to sustain all this.. So stressing about it would actually do more harm than good..

Oklah.. time to go... "Mummy's coming home now Aaron!!!!"
