The boy 'graduated' from his car seat a few weeks ago. When I say 'graduate', I mean relentlessly refusing to be strapped into the carseat. Every trip out became a cry fest. So we caved in. And thought we'd adapt...
By instead teaching him the importance of putting on his seatbelt, when NOT in the carseat.
So far, we've had our ups and downs. Although alhamdulillah he does follow through most of the time. My 'station' in the car ever since Aaron, was at the back with him. So it's just natural that we teach him to sit down with his seatbelt on at the back la right? BUT BUT BUT, there are occasions where I know he just wants to be hugged, so there's no point in sitting at the back kan.. we'd cramp in front.. but with me ALWAYS putting the seatbelt around us BOTH..
Today on the way to picking up the husband's car from the workshop, I absent mindlessly put on the seatbelt on myself only.
And then I noticed Aaron sitting up right from leaning against me, looked at his tummy.. had a look of confusion in his face. At the time I still haven't realised.. I pun pelik.. why la this boy asyik looked at his tummy, touch his tummy and then mcm searching around for something.
Suddenly he said.. "ma ma ma.. ichbelt!! ichbelt aaron" (whilst pointing at my seatbelt)
Cair tak????
Alhamdulillahhhh anakku hehehehe
