Latest Developments

Yesterday as the three of us were in Tony Romas for dinner (I insisted on having ribs for buka puasa.. hehe).. it suddenly occured to us.. boy.. he really HAS GROWN UP.. OK, I know I've mentioned it a couple of times before (thousands of times), like how big dah die and all..

But yesterday, we really looked at each other and went.. OMG.. dah besar!

He had this phase where we would try to avoid eating out at fancy places so much because he wouldn't sit still.. He'd run around the restaurant.. we would end up eating 'alone'.. one each time because the other has to chase the boy around..

Eating together would only happen if he's asleep in his stroller.

Walking around without a stroller would also be an exercise on its own because one would be running after him.. yela, dapat kaki.. haha lari la sana sini!

But yesterday, we were amazed.

We were seated in those bench-like seats.. he sat down, used his spoon to feed himself (even refuse to let me suap him MOST of the time).. I cringed when food were falling.. ehem.. SLIDING down from his spoon on its way to his mouth.. haha yelaa.. pegang sudu senget lagi :P But I let him be. I have an extra set of baju. No big deal. When he asked to leave the chair I said no, he obliged. But then he insisted again and again.. we let him.. But he didn't even leave the vicinity of the table.

Good start we thought. (the husband was already standing up ready to start the 'following')

And then when we were walking around the mall, he wanted to roam free. We were surprised that after a few steps in front.. he looked back, saw that we were 6 steps behind him.. he stopped.. and waited until we reach him before he started walking again.. :) :) :) ahhhh, he knows that he's not supposed to roam far!

So yeah, he's big!!!

Roll in the next one you say? haha hummm.. can't answer that for now. We'll see ;)
