Pots and Pans

Oh, news..

We moved! Bought the place last year and spent the entire time renovating and... Trying to furnish the place...
Very very slowly. Hehe only as money comes in. Will talk more about that later. Now, on a more important note..

pots and pans!

Weehooo.. so ever since we got married about 8 years ago, we never really got to use our wedding gifts coz most of them are, household items (thank you so much for the presents! erm.. from 8 years ago? hehe) Here is Aaron with all the gifts.. Had to filter them i.e expensive crystals would not come in the house yet until we have proper places to display them (minimal furnishing, gotta love it! read = not enough budget).

Got the essentials. No need to buy plates and mugs and cups yeay!! Whoever said staying on your own is cheap, they're LYING. So anything to ease the burden on the purse is highly welcomed. I also have a few items shipped from the UK ages ago (things we used there during uni days), they were collecting dust in the store and are now proudly used again weehoo!

But then there was a problem. I have some pots and pans from the UK, but they were the cheapo ones from Argos and hence, not really non-stick despite what is said on the box. Calar ones jugak. So I figured, since I'll be doing a lot of  SOME cooking, might as well get quality ones. BUT...

Did I not say that moving houses is expensive??

Haha.. So the other day I was watching this show about extreme couponing in the US. Gila inspired weyh! They took trolleys of food from the supermarket and only have to pay close to nothing! Now where's that newspaper again?..

So I started scouting for affordable but good quality pots etc.. Saw a sale at Parkson and found out about Green Pan. Ceramic yo! Move over teflon coated woks, here comes ceramic. Apparently non-toxic even scratched (unlike teflon) and very-very non-stick (she said I can fry eggs without oil!) and at 50% off! Siapa tak mau kan? Oven safe too! and the colors???

Look!!

They have them in red too! Would've taken that range but they were not on sale at the time (they are NOW! sheeshh)..

My expenses?

Hahahaha.. alhamdulillah.. the deep pot and skillet were housewarming gifts from my mom (a.k.a free for moi la!), the wok I got for RM6.50 as the rest was paid using my Parkson Elite card, and the shallow pan I got for.... FREE using RM50 voucher (they were on offer the other day, got the leafy thing for free)..

So technically, it's not really extreme couponing because I received some form of charity, hehe but rezeki jangan ditolak right? And the color is so nice making me motivated to cook!!

So far so good, I'm impressed and overjoyed :) Go on and google them up, superb quality! (I tried the egg thingy on the shallow fry pan.. it WORKED!)

Ahhh, lots of tales to tell.. till next time!

xx
