Test

I noticed that I haven't used my macbook in a while. There it sits in the home gym (yes, we now have converted what was supposed to be the maids room into our home gym), collecting dust. Well, it has been with me since my 2nd year in uni, so you can imagine how old and bengkang bengkok it already is.

With the potential new changes, albeit temporary, in my career path.. I began thinking whether I should invest in a new laptop i.e would I actually need a laptop to begin with?

First of all, to have a new laptop.. for me personally, it would have to be a mac. Call me an apple junkie, but I prefer mac. This macbook is my longest lasting gadget I've had in my lifetime - that says a lot. Plus, I use almost everything in my laptop as opposed to what/how I would utilize a windows laptop. With the new macbooks supporting windows as well, there's no compromise.

Except for the opportunity cost (yes Pn Raha, I still remember a tiny bit of economics HAHA)..

I don't have the necessary dough to just walk into an apple store and pick up a macbook - or in this case, I'm eyeing to bag the macbook air. There are a lot of things that need to be considered.

I still have my ipad, which I take with me EVERYWHERE I go. Even to meetings, whilst emcee'ing events.. EVERYTHING! So, is a macbook really necessary? BUT there's the problem. It is NOT a laptop i.e there are tasks which would require me to actually use a laptop, instead of an ipad. Although, these are tasks that I may be able to overcome.. for example, printing documents: I can certainly email it to myself on another computer etccccc... but then hassle etcc... alaaa... you know, considerations right?

Apparently, there are a few articles on the net about the redundancies of a laptop in the 'ipad age', tips and trick on how to make full use of your ipad to make it a replacement... or basically turn your ipad into your primary and ONLY device.

For starters, I have gotten myself an ipad keyboard for a while now. Have not been using it though.. Am thinking of taking the challenge..

Will I succeed? We'll see. For now, I'm happy with the fact that my line of work requires basic Microsoft Words usage. I mean hello?? It's the content of the opinion that matters right?

Quite excited!

Ok lah, gtg.. Hungry..

xx
