She got hitched!

Like finally, the bestfriend got hitched! It started off with a special 'meet-up' with most of the bridesmaids (some could not make it) 

We each received a special basket full of goodies (including the kain for the baju), as well as some special surprises from the bride-to-be! Sweet gile semangat yo! Too bad I didn't have the picture of the beautiful surprise lengkap with all the wonderful decorations hand-made by her. 

Later (days!) before the actual nikah, we managed to slot in a surprise bridal shower (bachelorette party, ehem) for her. So hard to get her date ok! Such a busy woman. We thought of you know, bringing her to a place she loves (the woman can sing!) and chill with her close friends :) I don't think I'm supposed to share our 'naughty' escapades on the web, hehe just for us girls ey?

Finally, later that week, the woman got married! Alhamdulillah! Such a beautiful ceremony! And I, being the 'macho' one of course, cried buckets! Emo ok! hahah Sampai one of the best man had to hand me his handkerchief. So embarrassing! Well, I've known her since.. long time already lah! We've talked about her wedding since time immemorial. So to finally see her actually getting married, moved me man! 

All her baju were made by Michael Ong. Super talented, super nice super cantik super everything lah! During her fitting, watching her try on the bajus, even made me want to have a wedding again! Oklah, anniversary celebration. With proper reception ok! :P 

The nikah was held in the morning, followed by a reception for family in the afternoon. Later that night, we partied! Hahah there was a reception for friends la duh! Literally, JUST FRIENDS! No VIPs, no protocol, such fun! Plus... I was honored to be asked to emcee the event :) With our good friend now artist Iedil hehehe.. Such a lovely night. I even ehem, sang? Okla, just a verse. So buruk, but it was part of our 'speech' by the maids of honors.. 

The following day was the reception for the VIPs, i.e mostly her father's guests. Brought my mom as my date. She was so excited! haha Again, lovely design of the bajus, lovely reception. I'm in love with everything in ShasaYan's wedding!! 

The following weekend we went to the reception for the guys' side. Didn't take any pictures because (1) too knackered from the johor trip over the weekend, terus pergi reception nih! (2) Aaron was slightly (understatement) moody.. haha what's new eh? 

So dearest ShaYan, here's to wishing you guys a blissful marriage and loads of babies to come. May Allah grant his blessings and barakah to your journey ahead, insyaAllah. Thanks for letting us be a part of your big day(s) and we certainly had a great time!
