Raya 2013

Where did the time go?

I swear I uploaded a post about a week ago, from my phone. Somehow it disappeared!

Ah whatever.

Anyway, raya this year was... different! It has been ages since we took a long leave for a holiday. Always over the weekend, paling lama pun 3 days 2 nights only. Just so happens that my sil's graduation is on the 2nd day of Raya, alhamdulillah this year we were blessed to be spending our raya overseas.

Ok, more tourist'ing than raya'ing lah!

I was happy I was able to take out my camera. It has been sitting in the cupboard for quite a while sometimes I wonder where had my photography passion gone to. As-if I have much talent to begin with, but I try. Photos anyone?
 (At the airport)
(2 hours of wearing raya baju for the pictures, we changed as fast as we could to head to town soon after haha)
(Tons of jumping photos, I didn't feel missed out for not seeing lots of kangaroos...)

 (why laaa... why!!)
 (Graduation photo op)
(He fed the kangaroos! We were so proud! So yakin he'd be afraid.. hehe the level of trust parents have huh?)

(Waiting for his chocolate to arrive)
(Budak bandar jarang tgk ayam liar)
 (the steam train!)

(Most of the pics are up on my FB page. Due respect to my family members, I won't be posting much of their pics here to protect their privacy. One or two got la..)

It was winter, so it was really cold! We really didn't care much about ourselves (konon used to the UK weather, ppfffttt!) and were kinda worried for Aaron. Looking at his medical records, we sometimes call him bubble boy. So we went prepared with all sorts of medicines, his paed decided to write a letter to explain the medications in case the immigration officer stopped us. Alhamdulillah he did not require any of the asthma meds... EXCEPT for a dramatic trip to the hospital.

Yes, my baby fell and bump his head. T'was a big bump indeed. He was running (as he does), tripped and bump his head against a bench at Sovereign Hills. Luckily he didn't hit the sharp end of the bench and alhamdulillah it wasn't worst. He could've hit his eye, sipi2 jer. Me? I panicked whilst carrying him to the nearest first aid kit around.

It was after I sat him down in the medical office of the museum that I start to pull it together and check his vitals. I am no doctor, but alhamdulillah I've been told to look out for a few symptoms that any fall is serious.
1) He was crying
2) He didn't look drowsy
3) No liquids/blood coming out of his nose and ears
Finally, we still took him to the emergency to get him checked out by professionals, all the while trying to not let him fall asleep (He hasn't had his afternoon nap, the crying must've been exhausting poor boy)

(Taken days before. Now no bruise, except for the slight scar where he scraped his skin)

Alhamdulillah all is well, the swelling is now gone. Although I was surprised that bruises apparently 'travels' down? I didn't know. Everyone said that after this fall, insyaAllah he won't dare to run around so much anymore.

Lies.

He was his usual running self mere 2 days after.

Ah well, kids will be kids!
