Dentist

Ok..

I can't actually remember my first dentist trip.. or perhaps, any one of them other than the compulsory ones they have in primary school. My tooth extraction have always been done rather...

MANUALLY i.e either dad pulling it out with his BARE HANDS or... it fell in my mee goreng. 

Yeah, can't really imagine me pulling out Aaron's teeth either. So we decided, let's get him a proper visit to the ones who are actually professionally trained, eyh? We've been telling him the idea about a dentist visit for some time now (mostly to encourage him to brush his teeth or stop finishing all the sugus in one go, yeah he can do that!). Before when he was slightly younger, mentions of dentist would get him shaking his head profusely and a wee bit of crying. It got easier when he's much bigger now. We just do what we normally do..

We try to negotiate and reason.

Haha, sounds simple right? WRONG. At home he was all 'yeah ok, let's go to the dentist like the play doh/cartoon/friend he saw some where some where'.. And THEN, he had to fall asleep on the way there.... waking up in the dentist waiting room is probably not the best place eyh? It took us a few minutes to get him to open his mouth. The dentist did a great job with encouraging words bla2 (I think all his attention went to the large spiderman sticker the dentist offered him). Luckily she allowed the boy to sit on his father's lap so it was more comforting for him. 

We only managed to fill in one of the holes in his teeth (yikes! He already has two... booohooo).. We've scheduled another visit next week, to which he seemed agreeable. This time, both mummy and papa will be having their teeth checked as well, a family outing in itself :P So yeay! He was even proud of his achievement that he decided to tell everybody!

Including the random pakcik guard at the shopping mall later on..
