Ok, so what has happened since the last post?
My son who at first did not want me, now can't let me out of his eyes. And we do notice that he gets clingier the closer we get to 'the' date. I for one, am relishing this moment! It has been a while since he wanted me to hug him to sleep and only wants to kiss me! haha yes, I am an attention seeker from my own son to a certain degree.
Since last wednesday, I've been having regular contractions i.e 10 minutes apart. Went in for a ctg, but the 'door' hasn't opened yet. So here I am, STILL feeling contractions but no baby. Looking that the ctg graph, it's quite substantive as compared to braxton hicks... so she said that I have actually entered the latent stage of labour and it can take AGES for me to dilate.
On the gestational diabetes front, yeah.. it hasn't been going very well. Although I have not been instructed to inject myself with insulin.. but the readings have not been THAT good. Result? Ladies and gentlemen, I hereby announce that I will be induced tomorrow...
I am already considered full term and the doc said it's all good to be induced. Reason? Essentially when you're considered diabetic, your placenta matures faster than a normal person would. You're already considered as high risk. And it's normal to be induced 2 weeks earlier, which I will be, come tomorrow. Psychologically, I think I'm quite prepared since I already have been preparing myself for early labour anyway this time around (My son came out early the last time so I've always had it at the back of my mind that I'll go in early) ...
But I still couldn't sleep last night. Was reading other people's experience with being induced.
Stupid me. Now I'm scared. Pray for baby and me guys!
